I've gained a reputation in the industry for my fingerboards. I make curved ebony mirrors. No ripples, no bumps, no buzzes! I have literally dressed hundreds of bass fingerboards. I have custom tools that allow me to measure camber depth to within .0005" over an 8" test area of the board. Whether you want a nearly flat camber setup like Stanley Clarke or Bunny Brunel, or a big scoop for a big orchestral dig, I can do it!
Violin family instruments don't have truss rods. The camber or "scoop" is cut into the fingerboard by hand.
